Sharp Mebius PC-CW50T: 14.1 inch uber-white laptop

It’s very easy to overlook the AMD-powered machines when computers have had so much Santa Rosa to give us, but this is the Sharp Mebius PC-CW50T laptop which features a 1.6GHz Sempron 3400+ processor instead.

For ¥150,000 ($1,228) the Sharp Mebius PC-CW50T features a VGA output, audio in / out, Ethernet, an SD card slot, PC Card slot, a 4-pin FireWire connector, four USB 2.0 ports, dual-layer DVD burner, 802.11b/g WiFi, a 80GB hard drive, ATI’s Radeon Xpress 1100 graphics set, up to 2GB of DDR2 RAM and a 14.1-inch WXGA display.

One very disappointing feature is the reported 1.3-hours of battery life…now that’s a joke on a portable computer.
