iPhone Update: new glass surface, 8 hours of talk more battery life
By: John | June 19, 2007
Apple are shouting out loud for all to hear about the new update to the iPhone specs, these upgrades include a lot more battery life than the preliminary January 2007 figures as you can see in the image above.
The Apple iPhone also features a new glass surface, standby time at a welcome 250 hours, Audio playback up 8 hours to 24 hours, 8 hours of talk, 7 hours of video and 6 hours of internet (you never got enough battery life).
The one question this leaves us with is how exaggerated these Apple figures are, are they over hyped to sell more iPhones, but one thing I do like is always more battery life.
I am well happy to see that Apple has upgraded the original plastic surface to a cool glass surface which will be much better on the clarity and scratch resistance front.

Above you can see an Apple chart that compares the iPhone to the Nokia N95, Samsung Blackjack, Blackberry Curve 8300 and the Palm Treo 750.
