Ashlee Langas and Ricky Palomino who were partnered together have suffered similar fates during the first live result show of So You Think You Can Dance’s third season, as they became the first two finalists that were eliminated from the show.
“Just thank you so much for this opportunity,” said Ashlee Langas upon hearing she was the first female finalist eliminated. “It’s just been an amazing experience. She said that “It’s given me the confidence that I need to move on from this point in my life.”
Once the three couples who received the lowest number of viewer votes were revealed all six dancers had just one last chance to impress the judges with a solo performance of there choice.
After all six dancers had their chance to perform, Lythgoe, Karaty and permanent judge Mary Murphy revealed they had decided Ashlee and Ricky would be eliminated from the show. It has to be said these two dancers are both brilliant contemporary dancers so well done to them for getting that far.
Before they did the eliminations, So You Think You Can Dance’s second-season winner Benji Schwimmer performed an energetic routine to the song “Tu Vuo’ Fa L’Americano” and it has to be said he is a fantastic dancer.
Benji said that winning this show has changed his life. And that he is just so grateful for Nigel and everyone having a show like this to make peoples dreams come true. Benji has been all around the world and back again three or four times now. Did you think that he was the right winner last season I do?
Now there are just 18 finalists left in the competition and next Wednesday 20th June at 8PM ET, the Top 18 finalists will still have the same partners from this week but will all be performing new routines during the two-hour show.
And on Thursday 21st June at 9PM ET one male and one female will be eliminated from the competition leaving just 16 during the live one-hour results show.
Let us know what you think about the show so far is it as good as the last two seasons?
