The Hand Motion Activated Lamp has two built-in passive infrared sensors that detect the level of light immediately above the lamps opening which allows you to turn the lamp on and off by the wave of your hand.
It self-calibrates to the present illumination in a room within two minutes of being turned on and by starting just an inch above the sensor you can slowly raise your open hand away from the top of the light vertically to increase the brightness and if you move your open hand down towards the opening of the light it will dim the light.
The lamp is made from mouth blown glass and it uses a 40-watt candelabra bulb.
