This is a miniature robotic dinosaur called Pleo from a company called Ugobe and this little toy is rumored to be this year’s must-have toy and will also crush Furby.
That will not be an easy task as Furby in 1998 went on to earn a stunning $1.2 billion by selling 50 million units, but nevertheless Pleo is said to be the next major hit that could crush the Furby toy.

Co-creator Caleb Chung aims for a robotic dinosaur called Pleo (his sequel to Furby) to be the next big thing and is scheduled to go on sale this summer (2007).
It will not be toy giant Hasbro getting all the income this time as Chung has a 35-person startup called Ugobe which would rake in all the money.
The 14 motors and six processors make Pleo’s movements extremely realistic and he has 30 sensors and a nose-mounted camera to help the little robot dinosaur avoid table edges and walls on his travels.
The price will be around $300 which could be the one factor that stops this toy becoming as big as the $40 Furby.
What do you think, Could the Price affect sales?
