Chinese PMP Market: Venus JXD638 $91 dirt cheap

Just a few days ago I was watching a TV documentary about businessmen aiming to make it big in China and all of them ended up achieving their goals, but what really amazed me was how cheap they made products in china.

This is why the Chinese PMP market is so good and not all brands copy models like the iPhone and iPod, to say portable media players are being made dirt cheap would be an understatement.

In the photos you will see the Venus JXD638 which is a PMP priced at just 699 yuan (that’s around $91 U.S.).

Features on the Venus JXD638 include 1GB (or 2GB version for 799 yuan), videos in MP4 files at 640 x 480-pixel resolution, Flash Lite 2.0 support, Camera at the back has a 2 megapixel lens, 3-inch high-def TFT LCD screen, Measures 100.2 × 63.2 × 12.2m, JPEG with browsing support and other file types include MP3, WAV (AV (PCM / ADPCM) and WMA.
