This high-definition Mini DV/HDV camcorder (Canon HV20) is great for people who consider themselves amateurs and also have a HD Ready TV.
The low-light performance could be a little better on the Canon HV20 camcorder, but the video quality is excellent and I love the accessory shoe, HDMI output and other handy features.
The two bad points I could find with the Canon HV20 was the poor low-light performance and the fact that you cannot change the white balance while shooting.
Canon’s HV20 Camcorder Features:
- Mic input, Advanced Accessory Shoe, PictBridge
- AV input
- LED video light and flash
- HDMI
- Advanced digital photography
- HDV1080i with 25P shooting mode
- DIGIC DV II
- 10x optical zoom lens and Super Range OIS
- Instant AF
- 1920×1080 True HD CMOS (2.96MP)
