Pay As You Go Apple iPhone

While at the bottom of every Apple iPhone commercial has always said “2 Year Activation” meaning you will need at least a 2 year contract when you buy an iPhone, it now looks like things are changing.

Why would Apple start taking of this text at the bottom of their ads, in fact we have it that the text is now missing from all the online Apple ads and even all the live iPhone TV ads have the “2 Year Activation” missing as well.

So this may lead us towards a pay as you go iPhone, can anyone confirm this or have any other news regarding the iPhone coming in a contract-free option.
