Apple Computer
It’s a special day today for Apple Computers as it’s the 30th anniversary of the first Apple computer going on sale.

Back when that first Apple computer was first sold, they would never have predicted the way the Apple brand is in 2007.

Although Apple Mac is not the dominant computer or has anywhere near the dominant market share today, what Apple does have is other products under its belt that are thriving.

With the Apple iPod the dominant portable media player, the iPhone will take Apple into the cell phone market on June 29th and Apple’s influence is just getting better each year with a wide range of products.

I was working with IBM 360 main frame computers when I saw the first Appple ][ in the local Byte Shop. I decided I had to have one so I set a goal, found software for my food supplement business, and soon I had an Apple ][ with 48k of RAM, one floppy drive and an RF interface so I could use my TV as the monitor. It cost $1800.00. Today I have a MacBook Pro and have been using Macs since 1984.
Apple has come a long way, and I am glad to say I was there at the begining.

BTW, I still have my Apple ][, however I don’t use it.
