If you love your Nintendo Wii you are going to love the news that an add-on hard drive to the Wii is coming in July.
This add-on hard drive for the Nintendo Wii will open up a whole load more options for downloading games.
The new hard disk is rumoured to get a world-wide look at next months E3 which starts on July 11th.
Currently as many of you know the Wii only sports a 512MB storage which is pretty poor really and to get an external hard drive of sort’s means many more Wii games could be downloaded and other options brought into play.

512MB is not enough, I will buy one as soon as I can.
This isn’t even comfirmed by Nintendo, you shouldn’t report it as fact.
To Carl:
Why is the worlds No.1 (T3) gadget magazine saying that their source claims its coming then just as this post does.
“According to our thumb-twitching colleagues at CVG, ninty will show of its disk spinning console companion at this year’s E3, kicking off on July 11th.”
No facts just that.
I agree with Carl. Sorry Daniel but it is unconfirmed and I believe such an add-on would be the wrong message for Nintendo to send. Oops…we forgot you need a hard drive. That’s just not Nintendo’s style of marketing: they will continue to promote SD cards I bet.
I think that the hard drive will be as low as 10 gigabytes, this because nintendo need it only to enable large amounts of virtuale console downloads, and nothing else.
you will see this, Im pretty shure.
i also agree with carl and don’t think this should be reported as fact when it is pure speculation. the wii is selling like hot cakes and nintendo wouldn’t jeopardise that with hard disk add-ons at this stage, which would only make the wii seem less accessible to the market they have been targeting. it would go against their whole strategy which has been working very well. if the rumours of new hardware being unveiled is true, i’d guess it is more likely to be different coloured machines, a microphone attachment, or possibly even a gun shell.
edit:
the most likeliest hardware unveiling though is probably the wii branded wireless routers that will be coming out soon.
