Sarah Silverman Jokes About Paris Hilton at MTV Movie Awards

During the MTV Movie Awards show Sarah Silverman said some jokes about Paris Hilton which many thought it was a bit obvious to happen.
She said to the audience, “In a couple of days, Paris Hilton is going to jail.” And then went on to say that “The judge says that it’s going to be a no-frills thing and that is ridiculous. She is totally going to get special treatment,”
So what do you guys think about Sarah Silverman’s jokes and picking at Paris Hilton’s current problems?
Do you think it is funny? Or is she bang out of order?
Some may say she went a little too far by some of the other things she said, I will let you decide.

I thought Sarah Silverman was the worst host in the history of the MTV Awards. I thought it was rude and downright tacky for her to make fun of Paris the way that she did. I expected a joke, but I thought it would have been done a little more sensitively. I mean Paris is a human being like the rest of us, she has feelings and I do not think it was appropriate to take the joke that far. I really felt bad for Paris having to sit there and not lash out. I think Sarah Silverman could have created a joke that would make everyone including Paris laugh about the situation. Besides her Paris jokes, she still was a horrible host in general. I was bored to tears.
Sesitivity ? Give me a break , Paris is just silver spoon bimbo who elevated being a dirty whore to a common behaviour these days.
Sarah on the other hand in smart , funny , talented and good lookingd decency.. way to go Sarah
I agree with Kimberly. Sarah was boring and showed a real lack of ability when she choose to tell jokes of poor taste about Paris rather than something cute. The mark of a good comedian is when the person who is the butt of the joke is laughing as hard as everyone else. I hope folks like Sarah get theirs someday.
i think sarah silverman took it too far. her jokes were juss downright mean. a joke or two is expected but when she made the penis joke i think that was terrible. but i juss think everybody there was being insensitive for the way they cheered about her going to jail. she obviously felt awkward, i was very sad for her.
give me a break. I feel absolutely no pitty for Paris Hilton. She herself is a joke. I think Sarah just pointed out what NORMAL people were thinking. now was it funny, not really, it was sad really. To think we actually spend time thinking and worrying about someone who otherwise we wouldn’t even look at twice if she passed by us on the streets.
While I am usually a huge Paris hater, Silverman’s comments about her last night just went to far. I agree with Jodi in the case that a joke at someones expense should be somewhat tasteful. In Silvermans case she has no class and has to resort to extremities to make something funny. Publicly humiliating her at a nationally telivised event was in very poor taste and was a poor judgement of her situation.
A better man than me (Patton Oswalt) once said, “Paris Hilton is a c**t and should die of AIDS.” That about nails it.
I thought Sarah Silverman was funny. The Paris joke was mean, but Paris must have known she’d be made fun of if she went. Seriously, whose countdown to lockdown includes a stop at the MTV Movie Awards? She’s going to jail for breaking her probation for DRUNK DRIVING. She could have killed someone! Getting ribbed by Sarah Silverman is a pretty decent alternative I would think.
Yes, Paris is rich and priviledged. She behaves the way she does because of the way she has been raised. Her mother, Kathy, should have done a better job to raise Paris to be responsible. Instead, Kathy raised Paris to think that money will buy her everything… even her way out of jail. Sorry Paris … wish you had a better mother!
Sarah Silverman’s so called ‘jokes’ were horrible, crass! Sarah is a low class pig to have taken pot shots at Paris. Paris was a class act by not reacting to her rmarks. I hope that Sarah is blackballed and never works in the industry again.
Simply, she’s a heartless, boring, bitch. Paris was upset, and she’s a human being also (WHO YES, HAS FEELINGS!) She was one of the worst hosts, and all of her appearances (and not to mention her HORRID wardrobe) made me feel embarrassed for her, and made me cringe.
