Kevin Rose: Digg will be covering product and service reviews
By: Robert | June 4, 2007
Kevin Rose has announced at The Next Web Conference Friday that Digg is working on something big and the project will let Digg users start to digg absolutely anything including images, products and services.
What Kevin Rose also said, was that they are working on ways to make Digg smarter by offering users similar stories based on what the user dugg before, because many stories are getting buried under the weight of noise making, which many good stories get lost.

This news of the new Digg expanding to cover product and service reviews is a good one, especially the fact that most people will read reviews, comments and user feedback before buying a product or service these days.
Digg has popularized social voting for news so much so that some sites suffer the digg effect when they get a story on the front page of Digg (basically their site crashes under the weight of so much traffic).
The new system of product and service reviews seems the next logical step.
