New RealPlayer Rips YouTube Videos

RealNetworks have got a new and updated RealPlayer coming but what makes this new version so much better is the fact that it includes one-click video ripping from sites such as YouTube, New York Times, AOL, Brightcove, Yahoo! and Google.
Best of all this all comes in the free downloadable RealPlayer video player, so you now will be able to save and organize video files in all major formats which includes Window Media, RealMedia, QuickTime and Flash.
Support for video ripping is something that has been needed for sometime with this level of functionality and even more so with a broadband world.
You will be able to download most online videos but not video that is DRM infected, this new version of Real Player could open lawsuits as creators will impose copyright restrictions and not use DRM (these videos can be downloaded and burned which breaks copyright laws).
I will leave that thought open for discussion.
Mac users will not be happy to hear that they will have to wait to much later in the year to get a version that will support ripping, but PC users can get the new RealPlayer this month (June).
