This is the 2008 Audi R8 that has just been unveiled by the company, which is also Audi’s first ever mid-engine sports cars.
If you want one of these beautiful sports cars then Audi have said they will start taking sales in the first half of 2007 for Europe and the United States (it will set you back around $80,000 to $110,000.

The 2008 Audi R8 has a high-revving V8 engine with 420 horsepower, and having owned a few BMW’s in my time I can see that this car will position itself squarely against the BMW M6 and also the Aston Martin Vantage and Porsche 911.
One feature I love about the Audi R8 is in the engine bay where there are LEDs that make the impressive V8 visible even at night, other features include 0 to 62 mph in just 4.6 seconds, Both automated manual transmission and standard manual as options, choice of LED or Xenon headlamps surrounded by LED running lights and indicator…that’s just a taste, but for looks the photos say it all.
Who is buying one then?
