PC-Less DVD burner: Sony VRD-MC5 copies for AVCHD Handycams

If you own one of Sony’s new AVCHD high-definition camcorders or are looking at getting one then you’re going to want this piece of kit as well for the ultimate PC-Less DVD burning.
The Sony VRD-MC5 accessory will connect via USB to your HDR-CX7, HDR-SR8, HDR-SR7 or HDR-SR5 Handycam and will do one-touch HD-quality dubbing…very cool and simple.
You will not need a PC to do this and that just makes things so much better, as you are able to burn DVDs in a more portable way.
Other features of the Sony VRD-MC5 include Firewire and S-Video inputs, a 2.5-inch LCD and plenty of memory slots (SDHC/SD, XD, and compact flash).
Just like Sony’s DVD camcorders the Sony VRD-MC5 will burn those small 8cm DVDs.
You will be able to get your hands on one of these from August 10th for around $247 (¥30,000).
