Dancers in Los Angeles have waited in a line over a mile long for there shot at auditioning for So You Think You Can Dance.
The judges Mary Murphy and Nigel Lythgoe were joined by Wade Robson to judge the auditions
First up to audition was Lauren “Misha” Gottlieb. Nigel said that Lauren is a beautiful girl and a beautiful dancer.
All three judges agreed on sending her straight through to Vegas could she be the winner?
As the day went on things took a different turn with Ernie “EJ” Sierra. EJ was a heavy guy but he did dance well enough to earn the applause of the crowd.
Nigel told EJ that was patronizing because they are only applauding you because you are fat and doing it do you understand that.
And he then said it is not because of your dancing as others have not received the same applause as you’ve received.
He was sent home by the judges. I think that the fat comment was nasty he did not have to say that did he.
In the Los Angeles and Chicago auditions contestants even auditioned despite having lost limbs now this is good to see as it proves that if your dream is big enough you will try your best and still follow your dream no matter what might stand in your way.
This is a very successful show because the contestants are often presented in a way that the public are able to relate to them and care about the challenges they have faced to get there.
I love this show and I am not even American so bring it on!
