2nd iPhone Manufacturer
More iPhone news again, this time about the companies that are making the iPhone.
First of all there was just one manufacturer making the iPhone Foxconn (Hon Hai), but now there is a second manufacturer called Quanta Computer that will join in with the development (lets hope they make enough cell phones).

Quanta Computer will be delivering 5 million units starting in September, these new units are not for the U.S. market (that’s Foxconn’s job).

The new order for 5 million iPhone’s will be of a different outer design to fit different markets (the insides are much the same).
Quanta also manufactures NB and the iPod for Apple, they are starting to build a much closer relationship with the Apple brand (its all about the money).

Here is some speculation on top of the rumor: It may just look like the second generation model of the iPhone is forecasted to deliver in 2008 and this may be seen as a 3G iPhone coming…it’s got to happen, but would it be the start of 2008.
