The Sony DCS-H9 is a solid Megazoom digital camera with a 15X optically stabilized zoom lens and an enticing list of options on this ridiculously long zoom camera.
With good image quality from the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H9 for printing past the widest angle, an 8.1 megapixel resolution and a cool three-inch flip-up LCD monitor you would think all is sweet with this smart looking camera, but all is not what it seems.
The Sony DCS-H9 like most things has a few faults that some digital camera buyers might find a bit much, these include the battery draining faster than other Sony digicams, the plastic enclosure is a bit slippery, the compression has been said to be too strong leading to purple fringing and noticeable barrel distortion.
The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H9 is sold at a relatively low price and it that does offer incredible close-ups for the money.
