Pirates of the Caribbean 4: Will it Happen?

As I posted the other day I did go to see Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End on May 24th and it was a fantastic film (the fastest just under 3 hours I have ever experienced).
Now without giving anything away, the end did leave things wide open if they want to do another film, but will they do a Pirates of the Caribbean 4 is the question on millions of people’s minds.
The answer may not be what we want…
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End was indeed the final chapter of Pirates adventure trilogy (clue trilogy = 3), but Jerry Bruckheimer (the producer) has hinted towards a possible spin-off rather than a fourth pirates movie.
The Herald Sun interviewed Jerry Bruckheimer and he said “is the end [of the current trilogy], but whether one of the characters or a couple of the characters continue on, it’s a possibility. Certainly, in a moment at the end of the film there is a hope that something else might happen“.
So simply put there will not be a Pirates of the Caribbean 4 movie, but a very good chance of a new movie based on Pirates of the Caribbean (which is just not the same).
This is a shame but all good things come to an end, look at the Matrix trilogy and the following spin-offs.

NOOOOO they have to make another one!i saw the movie yesterday and i loved it but Will and Elizabeth can only see each other once every 10 years.that just sucks.They Love each other.They have to make a fourth to where they can actually see eachother all the time!IM SO AGGRIVATED NOW!but thanks for the info!

please make another 1 we cant live without pirates,and if they make another 1 they will be pleasing millions of fans.
They have to make another one…continuation or not. They have to, what with the trailer at the end, they must. Plus between those 10 years there is a lot unsaid. Perhaps the 4 one should be what happened in between those 10 years?
Oh yes, and refering to my previous comment, the Fountain of Youth as well in the fourth one.
They HAVE TO make another one. The Fountain Of Youth is open. If they do not make another do you know how many fans will b disapointed?!? They also didnt make a conclusion to Davy Jones and his lovr. MAKE ANOTHER ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another movie “In the beginning” is a must. All that happened from Captain Jack becoming a Pirate, his father, Bootstrap leaving Will Turner behind, Captain Jacks Debt to Davy Jones, The binding of Calypso, The rising of the Pearl. Barbosa’s mutany. Just think of it.. even more awsome than the trilogy!
Some did say it was the last, and I sort of the believe them. I really want another PoTC, but I don’t see it happening. I did read an interview thingy and it said that is a possibility, but they need a good break, so probably in few years or so, there might be a new one! And your right, they did leave it way too wide open!
Right now I’m reading the presequal books and they are really awesome. Some say that those books might be on TV as a show or even a movie. The books are very good and suggest people to start reading them!
