Surprise Microsoft Patent: in-car stereo with docking station

Microsoft in-car stereo
We have heard the Microsoft brand put next to many products but this one shocks me, I have never heard Microsoft trying their hand at an in-car stereo before, Have You?

Well we have got news of Microsoft getting a recent patent granted for a car stereo which also includes a docking station, and then apparently you can dock a multitude of handheld computers into it.

We would guess that the major DAP’s will have their own interface to display ID3 tags, but we would not be sure about other brands.

Another cool feature is the inclusion of a memory system that will remember everything without any hassle when you re-dock the DAP or PMP.

Also they state that “another interface form” would let you select other devices such as a printer, internet or GPS over a USB connection.
All sounds good, but currently this is just information from a Microsoft patent.
