Norton Anti-Virus
Many people wonder what the differences are between commercial antivirus and free antivirus, after all if you pay for something it should be better right.

Well that might not be correct as free Vista-compatible antivirus and anti-spyware solutions have been around for a while now and they are also very popular.

The main difference is that the paid anti-virus programs are updated and maintained by the company as with Norton Anti Virus, but the free anti-virus programs are kept up to date by projects such as the OpenAntiVirus project and the community as a whole.

The best advice would always be to try a free antivirus program and see how you get along with it, and if you’re not happy then just buy one like Norton AntiVirus 2007.

One of the best known free programs is called AVG Anti-Virus which has been going for a long time and they are a more mature and fully-featured product.

The free AVG Anti-Virus has real-time virus scanning, email and heuristic scanning, floppy drive, scheduled tasks and automatic updates.
The choice is yours, but why pay if you can get for free?
