Firefox 3.0 Alpha: complaints regarding the software increasing

One thing that is very true about Firefox is how it has gained Browser market share month on month after it released Firefox 1.0 in November 2004
This was because it went for the simple approach which made Firefox a quick browser; it also had fewer errors in loading web pages than other browsers like Microsoft IE.
As you get more popular one thing that always happens in all industries is that you also get many more complaints.
The new Firefox 3.0 alpha is getting more complaints regarding the software than ever before and this is because the new Firefox alpha browser is doing what it never done before (its being slow in loading webpages).
Many are saying that Firefox is not the light browser it once was, which is what people want. Although Firefox 3.0 is in an alpha stage, it is reported that it has average-performance.

You seem very confident about your claims. Do you have any research, data, or sources you can cite for your assertions? Normally I don’t comment on blogs that cite unverifiable claims about Firefox, but for some reason your blog shows up in a Google News search for “Firefox.”
Well we did source the post, which if you took your time to follow where the source leads you would see it leads to wired.com, which if you have spent much time online will know is as big as it comes in technology news.
Well, seeing as Firefox 3 isn’t even close to being released… strange blog.
Guess the writer just wanted (and got) attention.
Just FYI to any reader that might be tricked into believing the FUD posted above: Firefox 3.0 hasn’t even been released yet, its still in an early alpha state. This means that the software is not yet feature-complete and bugs have not yet begun to be fixed. In this state, unstable performance is normal for any application. Additionally, these alpha versions are compiled with loads of bulky debugging code used internally by the developers. This debug code causes very poor performance compared to a normal release.
Before you believe any of the non-sense in the above blog, I’d highly recommend that interested parties subscribe to the developer mailing lists and keep tabs in what decisions have really been made internally regarding the upcoming Firefox 3.0 release. You will find the same minimalist and user-conscious attitude that has been the backbone of the Firefox community since day one.
