Days of the 17 inch Apple iMac are numbered

By the end of June 2007 the 17 inch iMac will be a thing of history as Apple are going to make an update to the iMac line that will see just two models, the 24inch and 20inch iMac computers only.
All good things come to an end, but then Apple fans should look on the bright side that bigger is always better and the 17inch screen is a thing of the past.
The demand for larger displays is increasing all the time on LCD monitors, TVs and more. Apple iMac computers are just the same with more people buying the bigger display.
With Apple dropping the 17 inch model we should then see the price of the larger screens drop as well, if they do not do this then I feel there will be many Mac fans upset with Apple at forcing them to buy computers for more money.

Yes, I would be furious if Apple stopped making a product I didn’t use and then had the audacity to keep prices the same. “what is this your brother, this is a huge company owned by millions of shareholders that might not even own a single Apple product, they just want to feel the power of GREED!” Apple, truthfully has little control in a capatilistic marketplace.
I think we will see a drop in the 24 inch iMac. That leaves room for a quad core iMac. Yes, it could happen because it wouldn’t use the same processor as the Mac Pro, which uses a Xeon which is intended for servers and high-end work stations. The iMac would instead use a the Core 2 Quad. It won’t be as powerful as a Mac Pro, but it will be darn close.
