Vodafone 125 and 225: phone companies first own-branded handsets

Yesterday Vodafone (the mobile phone company) did something they have never done before; they launched their first Vodafone-only branded handset which is aimed at people in emerging and developing markets thanks to being ultra-low cost.

The Vodafone 125 and 225 is the companies aim to give people the opportunity for the first time to access to the benefits of mobile technology.

The new Vodafone handsets are said to be priced at around 19-35 euros ($25-$45 US dollars), this really is good news for countries where mobile phones are all but non existent because or very low paid or currency conditions.

In Western Europe nearly everyone has a mobile phone and that even includes children as young as 8 year sold.

The first areas of the world that Vodafone plans on selling the Vodafone 225 and 125 to include South Africa, Romania and Egypt.
