iQ iPod Docking Piano by PianoDisc
While I am not totally sure of how many iPod accessories the world has, I know it’s in the thousands and this is got to be one of the most unique iPod accessories I have seen.

Named the iQ and designed by PianoDisc, the iQ is a piano with an iPod Docking Station and some amazing features.

Once you have docked your iPod in the docking station on the piano, set a song to play and then the piano plays by itself according to the melody of the iPod (the best mix of musical instruments and MP3 player gadgets).

Accessories for iPods are normally small or at least small enough for you to carry, but this is the largest iPod accessory I have ever seen.

The iQ just shows to us all how the iPod has become the powerful icon and fashion statement it is in all walks of life.

You can watch the iQ Video Here and read in full how it works on PianoDisc

I have owned this system for 2 months now, and while it may seem novel, it actually sucks. The music selection is awful unless you’re into muzak or classical. One of the reasons I purchased the system was to be able to play their so called pianosync products where you can sync the piano accompaniments, to the actuall tracks and vocals on the CD for example Elton Johns greatest hits. You would assume that the pianp part that Elton would be playing would come out of the piano and the rest of the band out of the supplied powered speaker. First thing out of the box was that you can’t (without a lt of magic and conversion tools) buy the Album on ITunes and sync it with their accompaniment, so you are forced to buy the EXACT album. Once you have plunked down your har earned money for songs that you may have 3 copies of from other sources, you use their convoluted tool “Creator to mash the CD and their MIDI file to create a a format recognized by the system. Then when you go to play it you find not only is the sync not synced at all, but off by at least 3 seconds, that the piano part isnt even an exact representation of SIr Eltons parts, but some cheesy pianist interpretations of what they feel like playing. If your an EJ fan like me its revolting. Some of their piano only albums are good, but I’m not into Classical or Jazz and I really wanted to be able to play my favorite Abums like EJ. Also their support is useless, and my complaints went unheeded, other than the fact that they refunded my money for the terrible EJ album. Save you money on this one folks, this was $4000 pissed down the toilet.
