Everglide Concept Gadget: ability to be wheeled, backpacked or cycled

Everglide Concept Gadget
This concept gadget has been designed by a Student Designer called Frag Woodall; he has named his product the Everglide which is basically an integrated solution for short distance travel which has the ability to be wheeled, cycled or backpacked.

Frag Woodall is a student at the University of Technology in Sydney and the Everglide is one of the finalists of the Australian Design Award.

The aim of this concept is to give its user a form of transport that can be taken with you on other forms of transport like trains and buses.

The design has a kind of shaft drive mechanism which is very light weight and compact, one of my favourite features of the Everglide concept is the frictionless magnetic dynamo technology which lets you plug in devices such as iPods and phones to be regeneratively charged.

The Everglide is an amazing product that I think should win the award as it identifies a missing link in people’s movement habits between using transport and walking, also being much more compact than bikes and other forms of transport.
