Sales 1st Place is Nintendo Wii Gaming Console

What happens to a product that is in very high demand? Well the answer is simple; you sell out of them products and have shortages.
This is just what has happened to the Nintendo Wii, they are trying to meet consumer demand but when the Wii gaming console sells 4.5 times more units than the Sony PS3 in April you have to expect problems meeting demand.

Yes you heard it right, Americans bought 360,000 Wii consoles in April compared to 82,000 PS3s and 174,000 of Microsoft Xbox 360’s sold within the same time.
This information comes from the NPD Group which compiles monthly sales data and the New York Times.

You can take this news many ways as the PS3 costs the most so you would expect less to sell, in fact I have even heard my own friends and family try and get their children to have a 360 or Wii instead of a PS3 because of price alone.

One thing is for sure and that is there are still no clear winners of the next generation of gaming consoles but I guess within a year or another two more Christmas holidays we will know who is the winning games system.
