It has been rumoured by a reader on the Gizmodo gadget site that we could soon see a new wireless remote that acts as Mini Media Center Keyboard (rumoured to be designed by Logitech).
What has been said is that this device will be able to transform your notebook into an instant entertainment center that integrates a Media Center remote control with a mini-keyboard and touchpad; all this will be tied together using a revolutionary cordless controller.
Features will include:
- Backlighting that changes color depending on the active mode (i.e. green for Media Center; orange for PC)
- Compact, slim profile
- A rechargeable Li-ion battery
- A complete set of dedicated Media Center controls
- Designed specifically for Microsoft Vistaâ„¢ Media Center
- A touchpad that simplifies navigation and control
- Backlit mini-keypad with a straight/ standard key layout and thumb-style text entry
- A protective sheath for storage and transport
- Bluetooth wireless ensures a “bullet-proof” connection from up to 30 feet
