Mod Your Xbox 360 Console: Get Banned from Xbox Live

Gamers love to Mod their computers and game consoles for fun and improved performance, but one brand we all know called Microsoft has decided enough is enough and it has been reported that they are banning people from Xbox Live who have modified their Xbox 360.
We do understand part of the reason why Microsoft would want to do this as it then keeps a much more fairer gaming environment, could you imagine if all games could use game cheats on online multiplayer games it would just be unfair and impossible to win for some players.
The main reason most gamers have been wanting to mod the Xbox 360 of late has been to get an advantage over their online competition and with Xbox Live being one of the biggest and busiest online gaming services players want to have a better advantage to get more points.
This topic is more important than ever to Microsoft because of the recent release of the Halo 3 beta and Microsoft want all players to start equal and we cannot blame them.
If you mod your 360 and try and log into Xbox live you will get an error code (Status Code: Z: 8015 - 190D).

The people who mod specifically to cheat are very small percentage of the modding community.
Wow, you have no idea what you’re talking about. The main reason people have modded their xbox 360 is to play copies/backup games. How is playing a duplicate game going to allow someone to cheat? It couldn’t. Maybe try do research into a story instead of rehashing press releases.
There are many different reasons why someone would want to mod their system. movies in almost any format, backup games, emulators and you can also cheat. You can edit Hex code in games to make yourself invincible, jump higher, have unlimited ammo and much more. Kind of like Game Genie was to Nintendo back in the day. This is a very big reason why people should be banned from live with modded Xboxs.
It’s a shame. The PSP has a large modding community and there have been many fun programs designed for those who have a homebrew enabled psp. Everything from universal remotes to creating custom soundtracks for all games to taking screenshots etc etc. Unfortunately this leads to a lot of cheating in online games and piracy.
If Microsoft didn’t do this, pirates hackers and cheaters would run amok on xbox live. But we miss out on the fun user made apps. It’s also loads of fun to use hacks in single player.
That’s why I adopted a gaming computer as well. A lot of user made stuff here.

i have modded my xbox360 im on XBlive(my net cabel is in my xbox360 and sing in to XBlive) but i do not play on XBlive
If i play online whit a original halo3 disc in a modded xbox360 will i get banned or ? ? ?

a lot of moders mod their exbox for looks not pirating.coming this summer im going to buy a arcade just to try it like a clear case some leds clear dvd drive just simple stuff not to cheat
interesting…its a nice scare tactic but in reality, how on earth will m$ be able to check every xbox that signs into xblive? with router firewalls and especially now that systems are being soft modded not hard modded,that the soft mods only affect a singular game save on a single game, not the whole system. smart modders are still playing on xbox live because of certain circumstances you will not be able to detect them. call of duty for instance if someone constantly kills you, you cant assume they are modded…just better than you. for isntance, ive gone 34 kills and 5 deaths in one game, and then gone 7 kills and 15 deaths the next. and i dont have a modded system. now the stupid modders will use the crazy mods that you will make you suspicous. plus with all the glitches in these games it still will be very hard to tell if that person is using a mod or a glitch in the actaul game.
I got my xbox last year and started playing halo 3, I enjoyed the raw competition against other players online. Now I admit that I am sucky @ halo most of the time but I enjoy the fun with fellow gamers. And when I have a good or great game, I feel that rush that we all gamers share and seek. Now I get mad just like the next gamer, but I do not blame the better gamer. But the fact that people are cheating or, a better word would be, “having an edge that you surley know is false and that the true gamer is the one you just cheated”…… really urks me .! And when I see it while playing…it urrrrrkkkss me more! Now im at the point of thinking about a modded controller for myself to even the odds almost everday now… I know…that’s bad huh? Maybe terrible?….maybe weak and cowardice? No balls?…lol..yea that’s it! ..wwhheeeww.. So glad im a GAMER and not a CHEATER!
