Dell Ultra-Thin LCD
If you hear of a HDTV/monitor that is just 0.5-inches in depth you will think “What year is that coming out?” and the answer you may be surprised to know is 2007.

The Dell monitor concept as it was called has been in development for sometime and also has been made aware to the gadget and technology community for a while, but many did not expect this Dell Ultra-Thin LCD to be on sale in 2007.

The new Dell LCD will also feature the VESA approved DisplayPort 1.1 interface and it’s just this technology that will give this LCD an Ultra-Thin depth of 0.5-inches.

The other benefits of DisplayPort is that it can support a resolution four times that of today’s HDTV resolutions, but sadly the new dell monitor will not show that side of the technology as it will be an estimated 1920×1200 max resolution.

We have no details on the price yet, but feel free to share this information with a comment if you get it before us.
