Many of us know that LCDs tend to be brighter than Plasma TVs, but at the UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science two researchers are pushing technology to its best by developing new technology that will make the LEDs in all flat panel TVs much cheaper and brighter.
This will give televisions and other devices like mobile phones a much more beautiful picture that is at its brightest and also at less cost.
These two researchers are making big progress and breaking records such as the latest achievement of attaining the highest lumens per watt ever recorded for a red phosphorescent LED.
You can read information in full about Jinsong Huang and Professor Yang Yang on physorg.com, but the bottom-line is that your next LED flat panel TV could be less expensive and much more brighter and clearer than ever before thanks to these two researchers.
