Travelstar 7K200: Fastest notebook hard drive with encryption

When a company develops a product that is the best at something they will jump at the chance to tell the world about this and that is just what Hitachi is doing by claiming that “The 7K200 notebook hard drive is the fastest notebook drive with encryption technology in the world”.

The Hitachi Travelstar 7K200 not only spins at a faster rate of 7,200rpm than the common but slower 5,400rpm found in notebook drives, but also the 7K200 consumes about the same power as the current 5,400rpm model hard drives.

The 7K200 is available in capacities up to 200GB, which new Alienware and Dell notebooks will carry this better hard drive.
