While you’re enjoying some of the best graphic games you’ve ever played on your Sony PS3 you soon will also be able to get access to XMB and RSS on the much loved games system.
This news has come from a slip up by Sony staff (slap on the hand, someone is in trouble); plans have been revealed of updates to the firmware of the PS3 console.
The details were leaked onto a press site but did not stay there long and removed quickly, but with the web as it is this was long enough for PS3 bloggers and fans to get the news and in turn spread it.
New features thanks to the firmware update will include better backwards compatibility for their PSOne and PS2 games, the ability to access the XMB (Xross Media Bar) while they’re playing games, use themes that will allow you to customise your console and an RSS feature.
We do not have a release date for this firmware update, but expect it sooner rather than later now the news has been leaked.
