Environmentally Friendly Solar Powered Lighter

The moment I see a new environmentally friendly product it makes me happy, this little gadget may not be the most environmentally friendly device in the world but when you think about all the fossil fuel-wasting lighters in the world it’s got to make you smile when you see a Solar Powered Lighter…that’s got to be more environmentally friendly.

Portuguese online store D-Mail is stocking this solar powered lighter that uses one of the best natural resources (the sun).

If this works well and takes off then I am sure many more solar panel gadgets are on there way, I am sitting here wondering how much we would help the environment if all lighters were solar powered not to mention 3rd world countries benefiting from devices like this that do not need fuel.

Let’s hope that 3rd world countries start by getting more low cost environmentally friendly gadgets also like the One Laptop per Child project.
