AppleInsider has discovered that Apple Inc. is looking to patent a design for a handheld device (that could be an upgraded iPod) that will display the output on a small display on the front of the device.
The input will be received by a larger touch and force-sensitive back-side interface, the good things about patents is it gives you a good insight into what these big brand companies are up to.
Apple knows that normal devices like the iPod have screens that are way too small for effective use of finger based touch input.
Apple’s new and patent pending design calls for the use of a separate device surface for the input which would be a force-sensitive touch-surface that would be on the devices back surface which a user provides input…it’s a great idea which you can read more on at Apple Insider
