The ultra mobile LS800 Tablet PC has just been given the perfect upgrade (a big performance boost), which is thanks to a 1.8″ 32GB solid state drive (SSD) and anyone who knows a bit about hard drives and memory will know that a normal hard drive has nowhere near the speed and performance of a solid state drive.
The new LS800 computer will be looking at around 40% more efficiency which is a huge increase and will be most welcomed by portable computer buyers.
The benefits do not stop there as users will also get reduced power consumption and experience faster data access times which will in-turn give another 10% to the battery life…fantastic news.
SSDs are also a much more reliable option for hard drive storage as they are less susceptible to shocks and jolts which would mean in the long term solid state drives could help bring down prices as less will need replacing due to faults.
The LS800 is available from £1,034 with the solid state drive as an option.
