Preserve Your Old Media Digitally
I remember the days when I use to record many different things onto cassette tapes and play them back in my car on the way to work, I even had a cassette Dictaphone to record notes rather than writing them down.

Today things have changed big time as I am not sure I have any cassette tapes in my house anymore, but one thing is for sure and that is I have friends and family that still do have cassette and betamax tapes and they keep this because of the memories they hold.

Now is the time for these memories to be converted to digital media so they can last for many more years. You can do this using this little gadget (the InstantMusic Vinyl & Cassette Ripper) which lets you hook up an old cassette deck or turntable to the Instant Music device and then plug it into an available USB port on your PC.

The software that comes with the device can do many things other than than basically being used to convert your music to MP3 files, or just burned directly to CD. The software also can smartly detect the gaps between songs to give you separate files…this truly is a great way to keep memories living on for your children’s children.
