Gadgets for War
While military strategy in each government will continue to be different (many saying more troops, not high-tech gadgets), we love gadgets and dedicate this post to gadgets soldiers should take to war.

Tactical Mini Air Vehicle (Tacmav)

The mission of the Tacmav is to carry a camera to let soldiers in the field check over the next ridge or around the corner.

NETGEAR Skype WiFi Phone

My friend is a UK soldier and I speak to him via email every few days and he is currently overseas, as many bases have WiFi so this is a gadget we feel every soldier should take with them to talk to their family and friends back home.
A mobile WiFi phone that enables you (without a PC) to make free Internet calls to anyone else in the world who has Skype

Bio-Harness (Smart Fabrics)

The Impact SF combines Smart Fabric sensors with embedded electronics and software algorithms to create an amazing system which is capable of detecting and quantifying impact, this even includes a ballistic impact or just a slow collision.

Tenebraex Color Night Vision Goggles

We all know night vision images are seen as an eclectic mix of green and black, but this is all changing with the Color Night Vision Goggles which their makers Tenebraex will sell to the Army for approximately $6,000 each.
They make Night Vision more like Day Vision and a gadget soldiers really could do with at night.

If you know of other gadgets you feel soldiers really should take to war then leave a comment below.
