iPod Slows Enemy Bullet
We reported to you a while ago about the laptop that stopped a bullet and saved a soldiers life, well here is another story about an iPod this time that slowed down an enemy bullet and saved a brave soldiers life (well done Apple).

Kevin Garrad of the 3rd Infantry Division was on patrol in Iraq when he met an armed insurgent who fired at him with an AK-47 and a bullet hit his chest right where his iPod was.

Add between the bullet, the body armour he was wearing and the iPod, this combination helped stop the bullet piercing his armour fully.

Another funny part to this story is that the iPod model he had was the older and thicker one which would have helped that bit more (so thinner is not always better).
