mobile phone with a built-in emergency button
On the back of this mobile phone is a is a big red button that can be pressed in the event of an emergency, if this big red button is pressed it will then phone one of the stored emergency numbers to get help.

Although the Life phone is aimed at those aged 50-plus we also see this feature as a great addition to younger people who may need quick access to aid in the need of an emergency.
Saying that younger people will not want a phone that has hardly any features which is just why this phone is designed for the 50-plus as the handset has little or no features, for example instead of a music player or camera the Life phone has a loud speaker for use with a hearing aid and the big screen and buttons help people with poor eyesight.

With the ever increasing care homes around us many know that the biggest age group will soon be the 50+ so the mobile phone designers have seen this trend soon and are building phones for that market.
