Suns South Pole Flyby NASA Say Very Rare

South Pole Flyby
Today a joint mission of European Space Agency and NASA will see a spacecraft that can travel over the sun’s poles.
Why is this important, Well a solar physicist Arik Posner of NASA headquarters said “We can barely see it from Earth, and most of our sun-studying spacecraft are stationed over the sun’s equator with a poor view of higher latitudes”.

The sun’s south pole is uncharted territory and on February 7th, a spacecraft will reach a maximum heliographic latitude of 80oS—almost directly above the South Pole which will be a rare South Pole flyby.
