We all know the Internet telephone service Skype as most of us have this VOIP program on our computers, but what you may not know is that the co-founders of Skype today unveiled details and the brand name of their latest project and its called Joost (a new television service based online).
These two Entrepreneurs Janus Friis and Niklas Zennstrom made a fortune when they sold Skype to eBay for $2.6 billion.
They are very excited about their new project and said that it combines aspects of regular broadcast television and file-sharing software.
With plans to move onto television sets later on is going to focus on giving people a more fun way to watch TV on your PC.
The software is free to download and will help you find clips and channels on the web that you like. (Joost is pronounced “juiced”) it is only in a limited beta test at this time.
Joost will no doubt be very big as they are already in talks with Warner Music, Big Brother creator Endemol NV and many others.
