Griffin HD radio
Available in summer 2007 will be Griffin’s radioSHARK HD, which is a digital table top radio for PC or Mac.

The radioSHARK HD has HD Radio technology (well that bit was a bit obvious), the radio tuner is in a cool design and housed in a shark like fin, will connect to a Mac or PC via the USB port and give you pure digital audio quality.

Digital FM stations are now approaching CD-quality sound with the introduction of HD Radio technology which is one of the reasons I stopped listening to radio because of the bad sound quality (I may now have to start giving it a try again soon as the entertainment side of radio is very good).

Another cool side to HD radio technology is the fact that broadcasters can triple program streams and it costs no extra to do that (called multicasting).

This is truly next-generation digital radio.
