HD-DVD How Much Storage

We all know HD-DVD and BlueRay will bring much more storage on disk media than ever before, but this is something else as a Triple-Layer HD-DVD ROM disc has been developed by Toshiba and this baby has a capacity of 51GB thanks to the three layers.

That will amount to around 7 hours of stunning High-Definition video which surprisingly will not cost much more for three layers.

Although this does sound very cool it is nothing to the long awaited Maxell Holographic Discs that we reported about on November 25, 2005 (they will hold around 1.6TB)
