Communications Badge or Star Trek Communicator

This is the Vocera Communications Badge but it could be mistaken for the Star Trek Communicator which if you’re not a star trek fan you might not know what that is (a clue, a small walkie talkie worn on your clothes like a badge).
The Vocera Communications badge has been developed for hospital staff to they can keep in touch with each other in a better and faster way then pagers…gadgets are great but also could help save lives.
It is basically a voice-activated badge that runs on an 802.11b wireless platform, it is said to be easy to put on and weighs just 2 ounces.
We really do love the idea of tech and gadgets that really can make a difference and this is a device that can do just that with its instant 2-way communication…to top it all of the Vocera Communications Badge even has an LCD screen that can be found behind the device.
