Logitech Harmony 520 Universal Remote Control
First of all let’s point out that the Logitech Harmony 520 Universal Remote is quoted as “simple programming” but after setting this up myself I can say that as this universal remote control is advanced and as so it is also not that simple to set up.
It does have a simply step by step set up process but you really do need to know your Audio and video equipment that this remote is replacing as the first time I run the setup wizard it was asking what channels and outputs were used for different functions and I didn’t have a clue (so be prepared and know what’s connected to what before you start).

Other than the above the Harmony 520 is the most advanced universal remote control I have ever used, packed with features and future proof as it is able to connect to the internet via a USB connection and download updates for different devices so you can even control TV’s, DVD players etc that have not been released when you brought the remote.

The Logitech Harmony 520 is finally the answer to complete control in just one remote that when setup right the whole family can learn to use it.
The help button is a neat feature that lets you with one touch, access simple troubleshooting to solve the problem you have.

The keypad is fully backlit which makes things a lot easier in the dark, Also another great feature that shows just how cool this remote is, is the learning port which lets you just point your original remote at the Harmony remotes Learning Port to capture and use any infrared command…now that’s cool.

In Summery: With the Logitech Harmony 520 Universal Remote you are able to take complete control of up to 12 devices, and with an online database of over 80,000 IR devices and 2,500 manufacturers…this is a true all in one remote.

I have a question…I have a Dish network satellite receiver and a regular T.V. Can I keep the remote on satellite and press the volume button and it turn the T.V. up/down w/o switching devices on the remote?
