Sony Aibo Robot Dog
Sony is reorganizing and will be focusing on its core electronics business because of the increasing competition from the likes of brands like Samsung.
This has caused Sony to announce last week that it was scrapping Aibo the world’s first mass-marketed robot dog.
This will upset many loyal Aibo owners who have brought poodle sized machines since they were introduced in 1999, many will ask the question “What do I do to get spare parts now?”
Aibo owners have even set up fan clubs all around the world…this is the end of an era.

One Response to “Sony Scrapping Aibo Robot Dog”

  1. AIBO fans all over the world are irate about Sony killing the robot dog, and they are not taking it lying down. Petitions to protest, try to convince Sony to recant the decision, and even some calls to boycott Sony products have started in many countries including Germany and France.
