Jamo Reference R 909 Speakers
By: Daniel Chubb | January 9, 2006
There is always good and evil – there is always those that follow norm and those who do it their way and then there are speakers that should be in their cabinet design for all that true base sound, but NO say Jamo we will not follow the norm we instead will not build our speakers (Jamo Reference R 909) with a cabinet instead we will just put them in a frame.
This takes base frequencies with it, but the R 909s have overcome that problem and want to be different…do you follow the norm or do you like to be different?

Well, i heard these yesterday. I don’t know if it was the speakers or the Hegel amplifier used, but it’s the ugliest hi-fi sound I ever heard. I had the impression of being inside a huge cement tube, with a giant PA-speaker in the end. Clear bass, but dry and cold with no presence. Weak top. Metallic, artificial middle. Awful. Painful listening.
