Sanyo VPC-HD1 high definition
This is the first camcorder in the world to record HD (high definition) video to an SD card and its name is the Sanyo VPC-HD1, which would pair up great with my Panasonic HD TV as that has an SD card slot in the TV so I could record HD video on the VPC-HD1 camcorder then pop the card in my HD TV…nice.
Sanyo say the HD camcorder will record at 30 frames per second and in 720 lines progressive scan.
The Sanyo VPC-HD1 is also a very tiny camcorder at just 3.1×4.7×1.4 inches and with a weight of only 8.3 ounces and that also includes the battery inside…smart.
This is a great choice and not only because of HD, some of the other features include 5.36 Gross Megapixel CCD, 210,000 pixels 2.2-in LCD screen for seeing the High-resolution HD while shooting, 10x optical zoom and image stabilization system.
In Summery: The main feature other than the HD recording to an SD card is the fact that the VPC-HD1 records video in MPEG-4 not like other brands that record to MPEG-2 which means less space taken up and great quality video thanks to Sanyo’s high definition compression.
