InPhase 300GB Holographic Drive Shipping
When I heard of 70GB to 100GB disks I thought it must be wrong as DVD is about 5GB, but InPhase Technologies has developed and is shipping this year 300GB disks.
InPhase are the leader when it comes to holographic data storage and on the 4th of January 2006 have said they have developed and are shipping the first Holographic-ROM (H-ROM).
The announcement came from the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) which was held in Las Vegas

The media for this product will come from its partner Hitachi Maxell, the holographic recording device by InPhase Tapestry will initially record 300GB with a transfer rate of 20 MB/s onto a 130 mm disc which will work with high-definition televisions…things are really moving on in the media world.
